Cumbre Coffee is a collection of like minded people that love coffee, believe it should be grown sustainably, imported ethically, roasted fresh to perfection, and enjoyed with peace-of-mind.
Not only do we intend to never pay less than fair-trade for our coffee; we also pledge to give a minimum of 1% of yearly sales back to organizations in the communities our coffee comes from.
Whether that's hurricane relief in Central America, school upgrades in Peru, women's empowerment in Kenya, we aim to have more than a "transaction", but foster a connection, between us, our growers, and our customers.

Our micro-farm partners are true artisans; passing down sustainable and environmentally responsible growing techniques through generations of family farmers. Our farms are central to the growth and success of their communities. When the local coffee farm does well, the rest of the community does well. And we want to be a part of that. When you enjoy our coffee, you're a part of that community impact.
We hand-select and ethically import specialty grade coffee beans and often pay significantly higher (and never less) than fair-trade prices for the best beans. This means you can feel good about the quality and source of your coffee.
We roast our coffees based on the origins, bean varieties, as well as the washing and drying methods of the farms. All of these processes are intentional to bring out the best possible flavor for that particular type of coffee.
When you're this intentional about the harvesting and processing of your beans, you get a higher-quality base product from which to roast.
Many large roasters buy and roast their coffee in mass quantities and combine many different types of beans into their roasts. Because of this inconsistency, they often have to over-roast, or even burn their coffees to get a consistent taste. This means you're missing out on flavors the beans should have. Flavor you deserve.
We roast to the level that will bring out the best taste profile in whatever type of bean we're roasting. Our coffees are small batch roasted, the day or day before it ships (depending on the grind) and we never burn our beans.

We source, import, and freshly roast specialty-grade coffee. It's a higher-end coffee for the coffee lover - crafted consciously, every step of the way.
We never pay below Fair-Trade prices for our beans, we source from sustainable farmers that produce specialty-grade beans, and we meticulously (and again - freshly) roast our beans. We're proud of our coffee and take a lot of care in making it great.
We try to keep costs down through low overhead, simple packaging, and bulk options so we can do more good for the communities our farms are in around the world. And we're dedicated to offering you world class coffees at fair market prices.
